Nylon monofilament — Polyamide monofilament; cushioning and handling are useful properties, not proof of the highest knot strength.
Copolymer / fluoro-coated nylon — Copolymer nylon and fluoro-coated nylon are distinct designs grouped here for browsing. Copolymerization is not coextrusion; coating does not make a line 100% fluorocarbon.
Ester line (polyester monofilament) — Polyester monofilament differs from polyester braid. A universal 5–8% elongation specification is unsupported.
Steel leader — Single strand is often stiffer; multi-strand can be supple. Hardware affects small-lure posture.
Titanium-alloy leader — Single- and multi-strand versions exist. Alloy and construction set flexibility; not all are pure titanium.
