Jig hooks and jig heads: Shank-weighted heads

The lead is poured down the hook shank (or a sleeve / insert weight sits on it) instead of in a head: the bait hangs level, glides on the pause and rolls less. The Japanese hover shot is the hook-only form: an unweighted 90°-eye hook with a nail sinker in the worm.
