Why does fluorocarbon "feel" low-stretch when it stretches as much as nylon to break?

A universal 20–25% stretch specification for soft fluorocarbon is unsupported. Distinguish working-load strain, elongation at break and residual strain after unloading. At equal material, length and absolute force, thinner line carries greater stress and usually stretches more; this is not automatically true at the same fraction of each line’s breaking load. A no-strength-loss extension limit requires specified loading, duration, recovery time and post-cycle strength tests, not a softness or pound-test label.
