What glue keeps crappie tubes and jig bodies on the hook, and does glue smell turn crappie off?

Crappie plastics are cheap, so glue is mostly for locking a body onto the jig collar; the chemistry still applies. PVC plastisol — most tubes and curly tails — heat-welds with a lighter or soldering tip without odour, or bonds with a plastisol solvent glue such as Mend-It. TPE / ElaZtech bodies do not bond with Mend-It and make a mess when heated; a pin-head of super glue (cyanoacrylate) holds them and leaves a hard spot you cannot rig through. Small crankbaits take two-part epoxy or UV resin at lips and hook hangers, clear nail polish over chips. Every solvent glue stinks until cured. For crappie, scent's main job is masking unnatural odours, and fresh glue is exactly such an odour. Glue a batch at home, cure overnight, air and rinse. Keep TPE and PVC bodies in separate compartments — they melt together.
