Should I glue small plastics onto perch jigs — which glue works and will yellow perch taste it?

For perch, glue is more about keeping a bait on than repairing it; a torn tiny plastic is cheaper to replace. Still, know the materials. PVC plastisol baits heat-weld with a lighter or soldering tip, odourlessly, or bond with a plastisol solvent glue such as Mend-It. TPE / ElaZtech micro baits ignore Mend-It and cannot take heat; a pin-head of super glue (cyanoacrylate) holds them, leaving a hard spot you cannot rig through. Small spoons and hard baits get two-part epoxy or UV resin at cracks and hook hangers, clear nail polish over paint chips. Solvent glues stink until cured. That matters here because the perch bite is a peck-and-taste inspection at point-blank range, longest in cold water, and a tiny bait is mostly glue joint. Glue plastics to jig collars at home, cure overnight, air and rinse.
