Do scent products help for perch?
Modestly, and only at the last step. Scent gets its vote during the close-range taste-peck, so a scented plastic converts a few more inspections than a plain one — most noticeably in cold water, when inspections are longest. But scent cannot fix the errors that actually cost fish: wrong depth, wrong size class of school, a hook too big, or a bait that never sits still. Real bait outperforms bottled scent in the same role; spend your effort finding the right school first.
