Can trout feel the vibration of my lure?

Yes, and some lures are designed around it. An in-line spinner's rotating blade throws a strong, regular pressure pulse that the lateral line reads from well beyond visual range — a big reason spinners out-fish subtler presentations for brook trout in stained beaver ponds and for rainbows in high, off-color spring flows. Spoons wobble a lower-frequency thump; flies are nearly silent and rely on sight. Rule of thumb: the worse the visibility, the more your offering should displace water — and in flat, clear, slow pools the same loud thump can spook fish instead.
