Lobina: Turnover
Autumn cooling and wind can erode stratification and mix a lake. Timing and extent depend on depth, exposure and previous thermal conditions. Not every waterbody stratifies strongly, and different basins need not mix together.
Mixing depends on lake depth, exposure, weather and existing stratification; different basins may mix at different times, and flowing water need not follow a lake’s schedule. Check clarity, oxygen information, forage and fish locally. Bass do not all leave weeds or occupy one depth simply because the calendar says turnover.

- Fall Turnover and Fish Suspended Over Open Water — Separate seasonal mixing from the reasons fish hold 3–10 ft below the surface.
- Why Some Lakes Stratify and Others Keep Mixing — Depth, wind, basin shape and throughflow matter more than a simple north–south rule.
