Do pike get barotrauma when pulled up from deep water?
Less catastrophically than perch or walleye, because pike are physostomes — the swim bladder connects to the gut by a duct, so they can burp off expanding gas instead of ballooning. That said, "less" is not "never": a big pike ripped up fast from 10 m+ (33 ft+) can still arrive stressed, bloated, and struggling to get back down, especially in warm water where every stressor stacks. If you are on a deep summer pike bite, bring fish up without racing, keep handling short, and if a released fish cannot descend, that spot-and-depth combination is telling you to fish shallower.
