Fall Transition: Reading the turn
Confirm a sustained trend in local temperature, forage and cover, not one front or a preset month. The next phase may differ across basins and fish. Cold shallow largemouth opportunities can persist.
Fall Transition
Cooling changes prey distribution, vegetation and mixing, not just a bass temperature label. Shallow feeding can improve where prey and useful cover remain, while other fish use deeper structure. Check green weeds, rock/weed edges and connected routes. Do not assume that the first cold front empties the shallows or that all fish move into bays together.
