T-tail minnow
A small minnow with a tiny flat T at the tail that quivers at the slowest speed — the forward-facing-sonar and mid-strolling minnow, and the finesse swimbait for cold water.
Soft plastics are the biggest family in bass fishing: 36 shapes, each designed for a rig, a depth and a mood.
- Shape = design purpose: fish, worm, craw, creature, tube, frog
- Finesse tier vs power tier: the same shape at 3.5 in and 7 in is two different techniques
- Tail type decides the action; body decides the fall
- Rig it the way it was designed to be rigged
- What it is — A 2-4 in slim minnow ending in a small horizontal T. The T is too small to thump; it flutters, which reads as a live minnow to a fish watching it hover.
- Designed for — Slow horizontal presentations in cold or clear water: mid-strolling on a light jighead, hovering (Damiki) in front of suspended fish, a drop-shot minnow, a 1/16 oz…
- Trade-offs — No power tier exists — the design falls apart above 4 in. Fish it on spinning gear and light line or it does not move.
