Why can the same dock produce repeatedly?
Both species can repeatedly use a precise feeding station. Mark the particular rock, weed opening or dock feature, casting angle and boat position along with water level, light and flow. Repeat use does not prove lifelong residence. If the feature and nearby cover/depth produce no evidence, search the next connected feeding area rather than only changing lures.
