Do largemouth spawn more than once a year?
A female can spawn more than once: DFO’s synopsis describes incomplete egg release at the first spawning and further spawning with the same or another male. That supports multiple egg-laying events, not a universal two-to-five-batch schedule. Population spawning waves and re-nesting after failure are separate observations.
