Kicking Frog (Buzz Toad): Where it shines

Matted vegetation, lily pads, sparse reeds and grass flats from post-spawn through fall. It draws the violent strikes of a hollow-body frog while covering water at spinnerbait speed. When fish blow up and miss, kill the retrieve and let it fall — the follow-up bite comes on the glide.
